We read everything. We cannot promise a reply to every message, but corrections and bug reports are always reviewed, and we aim to respond to accessibility issues first.

Before you write about a height figure

Worth checking first, because these account for most of the messages we receive:

  • Celebrity heights are commonly cited values, not verified measurements. If a figure differs from one you have seen elsewhere, both may be traceable to different secondary sources. We are glad to update to a better-sourced figure.
  • League and club listed heights often include footwear. An NBA listing and a barefoot measurement of the same player legitimately differ.
  • Country averages are modelled and rounded. A national average differing by a centimetre from another source is expected, not an error.
  • Dinosaur heights vary widely between reconstructions. We state a mid-range figure and say so in the table.

What we cannot help with

We are not able to give medical or health advice about your height or a child's growth, and we cannot comment on individual cases. A clinician can do both. We also cannot remove or alter a country's published average because an individual disagrees with it - these are population figures and they are what they are.
